Cleff is a payout orchestration platform for businesses that pay payees, whether people or businesses, at volume. You register your payees, fund an account, and issue payout instructions; Cleff validates, routes, and tracks each payout through disbursement. In the API, a payee is a Beneficiary. There are two ways to operate Cleff, and they share every concept in these docs:
  • The API, REST + JSON over HTTPS at https://api.usecleff.com, scoped to your Business by API key. Built for integrating payouts into your own systems.
  • The dashboard at app.usecleff.com, where your operations team creates and tracks payouts, invites payees, and manages settings without writing code.

Every Business operates in two parallel environments. Sandbox routes provider calls to mock implementations: no money moves, no fees, and it is open the moment you verify your email. Production moves real money and unlocks after your business completes verification. The Environments page covers how the two are kept apart.
